Author Christopher Scott was at E. Shaver's Book Sellers Tuesday evening signing copies of his first work of fiction, "Choke Point".
Christopher Scott, born in England, is the author of a dozen books, mainly on collecting antiques and bygones but also including Discovering Stately Homes (about the wealth of beautiful and historic houses to be visited in Britain). He was Resident Agent (Executive Director) for two successive Dukes of Wellington at Stratfield Saye, and for Baron Astor at Hever Castle. In the United States he was Executive Director for the National Trust for Historic Preservation at Montpelier in Virginia, lifelong home of James and Dolly Madison. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
