Hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design, the annual Savannah Film Festival presents a full range of cinematic creativity from both award-winning professionals and emerging student filmmakers.
Panel discussions and presentations by visiting artists offer movie buffs the unique opportunity to experience the art of film while interacting one-on-one with their favorite filmmakers.
Past honored guests have included Peter O'Toole, Kathleen Turner, Sydney Pollack, Alan Cumming, Roger Ebert, Jane Fonda, John Waters, Danny Glover, Alec Baldwin, Natasha Richardson and Ellen Burstyn.
Over 60 businesses in historic, downtown Savannah will be giving out free canine treats to costumed dogs.
The fun begins at Canine Palace, 618 Abercorn Street. Maps showing the trick or treating sites go on sale at noon. There is a minimum $5.00 donation per adult. Dogs should be in costume – human costumes optional.
All proceeds from Wag-O-Ween 2009 will go to the Humane Society of Chatham/Savannah. This event is hosted by St. Almo (Savannah's True Animal Lovers Meeting Others).

Mutt Strut is a fun-filled, dog walking event and fundraiser benefiting the Humane Society.
Held rain or shine, it consists of a one-mile walk around the perimeter of Forsyth Park, with participants walking in teams or as individuals … with or without a dog!
Registration opens at 9 am with complimentary coffee and breakfast pastry.
The walk begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by contests, prizes and live entertainment.
No registration fee or minimum amount to raise, and $50 raised earns an exclusive Mutt Strut T-shirt!!!

TAG’s annual fall fundraiser, The Art of Great Fashion, hits the runway on Monday, October 19, featuring designs by James Hogan of Savannah and Massachusetts. Hogan’s signature style is defined by clean, sophisticated lines and sumptuous fabrics from around the world.
Upscale Art and Fine craft show with exceptional artists, live music and entertainment, culinary delights, and spirits.
This festival is part of the Tybee culture and continues to establish higher standards for participation.
New location, bigger prizes and more artists!
South Beach in a magnificent tent! It will be the hub of island activity on festival weekend including painters, jewelers, potters, woodworkers, photographers, and weavers from throughout the Southeast.
Entries will be juried for cash awards on Saturday morning.
No charge to the public.
We have a double headline act this year w/ Lou Gramm and John Waite. The performance will be Saturday night before the fireworks.You won't want to miss it!
